Decided to try a new thing of photographing what I eat, so it's triple checked, totally tracked, and totally honest.
Have also decided to try and cut down on bananas, to see if it makes a difference at weigh in this week.
These STS's are getting RIDICULOUS :(


Now, it's gotta be said : the granulated sweetener on the cinnamon apples isn't worth saving the point. It's left a horrible taste in my mouth!
I'll be sticking to sugar from now on I think!
I would have had the points for the sugar as well, but at least I tried it and now I know :)

Munchy day today and didn't do any walking as the weather was horrible so I drove to nursery and back (so much easier to do now the snow has gone! If I say one good thing about that snow, it made me walk more at least!!)

Cinnamon Apples (28th January 2013)

In case you've been wondering why the sudden appearance of lots of apples, cinnamon and sugar on my trackers, I thought I would do a little post about this wonderful discovery.

They are YUMMMM and only 1PP!!

I have ordered some granulated sweetener to try and make them 0pp, but to be honest, I think they're totally worth 1pp. I guess I'll have to see how the sweetener tastes.

Anyhoo, I thought I would do a little picture-step-by-step to show my pudding from last night.

So here goes :)

Spray a frying pan with oil, and heat.
Core and slice Apple, thinly, and add to pan, spreading the apple in one layer.
Fry lightly for a couple of mintues, then stir.

Mix 1-1½tsp sugar/granulated sweetener with ⅛ tsp of ground cinnamon.

Sprinkle the apple with the sugar/cinnamon mix.

Fry lightly, then stir to coat the apples with the cinnamon.

After a minute or so, serve the apples.

 This is with 0% Fat Cherry Activia Yoghurt - it tastes just like a cherry-apple pie I had at a Christmas Meal 

I also have had them on toast which was lovely, and with custard and a crushed digestive biscuit tastes just like apple crumble!

Had such a  chocolate binge tonight. Feeling annoyed, at weigh in mostly. Its really quite disgusting to see it all written down like that though. Ugh.

I weighed in a day early - at the Tuesday meeting I help at, as we were unsure tomorrows meeting would be on as Cayla was having difficulty finding a venue (our normal one is unavailable). I decided to re-arrange tea and my treat night, bought the things I needed, and did all my usual weigh-in day things (eat good, not too late etc), and then Cayla text to say she'd found a venue!
I figured one day, and for one week wouldn't hurt, so I was as good as I could be, held off tea until after wi and did my walks to nursery and back - in the snow, as I said I would - with the idea that everything would help at weigh in.

But NOOOOOOOO.

I STS.

Again.


Now last week annoyed me, after all the walking I did, to STS bugged me. But I told myself it was probably the amount of points I had spent on sweet stuff, and that the exercise would show next week.

So to have been so good with my food this week (in my opinion. What do you reckon - compared to normal??), and walked as much as I have, what with the snow and not wanting to drive in it. Plus the extra effort of walking through thick snow, and pulling a toddler in a sledge! That's gotta count as cardio in my book as I was constantly out of breath!

And I've STS AGAIN!!!


So this week, I am blaming hormones, and those horrible female things we get that stop us losing weight for no good reason whatsoever.

I will also be blaming hormones for the amount of chocolate I have consumed tonight.

Hormones, as annoying as they are, cannot argue with me on this, so I win this one.

A fab start to today, I was at the doctors at 8am as bubs has got a throat infection! Then it took us 45 mins to walk back in the snow!
But I forgot my pedometer so none of it was counted!! GUTTED!!! 

Just used mapmywalk.com and it reckons I'd walked 0.8miles, discounting the bus ride to the docs.
Seemed like so much more than that walking at toddler pace through the snow!

Got some lovely pics of the snow though 








Then not long after getting back home, I realised I didn't have the veg for the lamb stew for tea, so we walked to Sainsburys and back to get that.

When I got back I decided to put the 0.8 miles back onto my pedometer by shaking it. I know this is not ideal, but I did the walk so I'd rather it was on there. It took me to Earning mode so every little bit counts!

I ate a lot more weeklies than I planned to though. GOT to pull it back tomorrow as Tuesday is where I normally start to lose the plot.

I CANNOT ruin this whole week tomorrow.

I took bubs out earlier for a snow ball fight with our new neighbours (they have a 5yo boy), and I took our puppy out too and had a proper little run around, I was ROASTING by the end of it, so it must have done me some good. I didn't have my pedometer on activity mode, as I'd rather undercount.

W/E Wednesday 16th January, 2013

Well, the munching showed, and despite all the walking I did this week (over 28½ miles!) I sts!

But, staying positive - at least I didn't gain!

It's a new week and I will have to be stricter with myself!
Especially considering I'll be less active.

Onwards and downwards!


Pre Weigh-in Quickie...

I've got just over an hour before weigh in and I'm dreading it!

 I will be so annoyed if I don't lose -  I was having such a good week, and I have done SO much walking, but then the last couple days I have had the munchies, and have gone off track. I actually haven't counted for 2 days so have no idea how I might do!

It's just so annoying that if I had been just a little more prepared (lunches) and a little more controlled (chocolate), then I could have had a real good loss this week!

GRRRRRR!!!!! Why do we insist on doing this to ourselves????

Delivery Day 2 ...

And not a broken leg or bruised ego in sight!

It was so icy and cold today I really thought I was gonna end up on the floor!

But I got them all delivered and managed another 3AP into the pot for this week! Woop Woop!

Gotta say I'm glad this is just a once-a-month thing though - ESPECIALLY in this weather!

But mainly cos my feet ACHE!

Who says exercise is good for you for gods sake???

Delivery Day One...

Well.. I survived!!

It was snowy underfoot, COOOLLLLLLLD and it rained on and off but I managed not to turn into a human icicle, or worse, fall on my arse... so I'm happy! :)

I managed to deliver over half of the total, so am going to complete them tomorrow and then I'm gonna rest my feet!

Today, I managed to rack up over 5½ miles, 13,627 steps and 3 (halfway to 4) Activity Points, which is rare for me!

Happy happy happy!

Now to behave tomorrow and get a good loss on Wednesday!

Sunday 13th January, 2013

Just a quick midweek update :)

I have been good so far this week, am doing my best to spend no more than 5pp on the sweet stuff, and  I have been doing lots of walking, with a lot of help from a delivery round I do once a month and this month I have took on an extra round! Perhaps not the best idea with this -1Âșc weather!

The first round myself and hubby divide between us, and yesterday I managed to earn 2AP (11281 steps, 4.70 miles), and this morning we finished it off and so far I have hit earning - a rare thing before midday! lol

The second round is for me to do tomorrow and Tuesday while bubs is at nursery. I have 409 houses to deliver to so that'll keep me busy!

Can't complain too much though, as I am getting some walking in, and getting paid for it too :)


Wish me luck with the weather though! Am hoping my next update isn't this:

W/E Wednesday 9th January, 2013

I had a pretty good week this week.

I planned the weeks meals, tracked all week, stayed within points, and tried to walk more - taking the dog for walkies and walking to pick my son up from nursery where time and the weather allowed (although he has only been back since Monday).

I was hoping for maybe 1½-2lb to get a good head start on this 8lb that I need to get off within 16 weigh-ins.

So I was a little disappointed to lose ½lb.

After discussing with Cayla, we think it was most likely an overindulgence in choccies and sweet stuff, which, for me, is not unusual!!

While I was within points, and had a few weeklies left, Cayla has told me in the past that I should be spending a maximum of 5 points per day on sweet stuff, so I do agree that this is probably my biggest downfall.

Now anyone who knows me will know that it isn't even an option to cut the sweet stuff out completely - it's just not going to happen!
 I've never done it so far, so I know I can lose and still have it, as long as I behave and don't go mad.

So, never mind the negativity!

  I lost! And I'm on track, as long as I can do it every week I will be back at goal for our 5th anniversary

Wednesday 2nd January, 2013 - Post-Christmas Weigh In -

Went to weigh in tonight and was pleasantly surprised that I had only gained 3½lb!

My sneaky peak yesterday showed me as over 10st 7lb, meaning I would have gained 5+lb, so I'll take 3½ lb and run thank you very much!! :)


So I am now 10st 5½lb, which is Goal+8, and I have 16 weigh ins until mine and hubby's 5th wedding anniversary, so I want to be back at goal for then as we are going on a little 2nd honeymoon <3

½lb per week is TOTALLY do-able, so now I've gotta do it!!

So, back on it : 2013 is ON!
